Apart from the Olive Wing Butterfly, there are no other animals on earth that are truly blue due to pigmentation. They just look blue as a result of structural coloration - the production of colour by microscopically structured surfaces fine enough to interfere with visible light.

Thomas Midgley Jr was an American Chemist and Engineer who invented the concept of leaded petrol. Ethanol blended petrol was much cheaper to produce and the
Engines up until then had been notorious for clogging due to difficulty in thinning the fuel out until they discovered blending it with Ethanol did the job beautifully.
However, profit margins were low so the major car manufacturers and petrol lobby wanted something that was difficult to replicate (or counterfeit) that was financially and mutually beneficial to both.
What we now know as unleaded green petrol is in fact...Ethanol blended petrol.

Sticking two fingers up and waving them is not a plain fuck off it started when the longbow was the top weapon of war and on capturing the soldiers who used them (who the top elite fighters of the day and best paid etc ) they would cut the two fingers off send them back home which in turn made them into basic low life foot soldiers and way down the social ladder.
Then on every opportunity across the battle field sticking the two fingers up and waving them to remind them of this .

The Moon doesn't revolve around the Earth, it revolves arounf the Sun. It just seems, from Earth to revolve around it. Arguably, the Moon and Earth are twin planets rather than a planet/moon system, however the powers that be changed the definition of twin planet purely to disguise that fact. A bit like they demoted Pluto from being a planet for no other reason than they couldn't be arsed to include the four (three?) other planets we now know about.

Russian is odd in many ways.
Although it is East Slavic, and is grammatically similar to other East Slavic languages, it has more vocabulary in common with Bulgarian, a South Slavic language.
I'm guessing that this is because old Russia was so Church-bound that its language picked up loads of stuff from the language of its church, which was Church Slavonic, and basically Old Bulgarian.

Years ago when the Russians sent a delegation over to see this new invention, the railway, British government officials took them to the nearest station,Vauxhall..they asked what it was called and they were told the name rather than the name "Railway station " so that's why Russian railway stations are called Vokzal
